DETROIT — The Tigers started hitting in the first inning and simply never stopped on Wednesday night.Twins pitchers allowed 17 hits in a 9-5 loss in the third game of the four-game set at Comerica Park. Only one pitcher, Emilio Pagán, escaped unscathed, throwing a clean sixth inning. But sandwiched around Pagán, it was a tough night for starter Bailey Ober and reliever Jordan Balazovic.Right out of the gate, Ober had a turbulent first inning, walking a batter and allowing a single. Two runs — though just one earned — scored on Kerry Carpenter’s single, which got past right fielder Max Kepler. After the Twins took a lead in the top of the second, Ober coughed it back up, allowing four hits and two runs in the second inning. The starter would give up another run in the fifth on Spencer Torkelson’s first home run of the game. The former No. 1 overall pick would hit another off Balazovic in his next at-bat.For Ober, it was the second start in his past three games in which he has given up...

Imagine if Jack Nicholson’s character in Five Easy Pieces went on a shooting spree instead of revisiting his childhood home and you’ll get an idea of what you’re in for.Set in a desolate town that can only be described as Nowheresville, America, we open on Randy Bradley (Johnny Berchtold), a malnourished 21-year-old, who awakens from a nightmare regarding an incident from his childhood. The kid works at a local fast-food joint, which looks like ...
