Morton Avenue homicide suspect in custody ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Police Department has arrested a 17-year-old in connection to a homicide that happened Saturday evening on Morton Avenue. On July 22 at 7:15 p.m., police responded to the area of Morton Avenue and Elizabeth Street for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Naheim Burbridge, 21, of Albany, with at least one gunshot wound to the torso.Burbridge was treated at the scene by emergency medical services. Why Gov. Parson vetoed crime bill including 'Blair's Law' on celebratory gunfire JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed all but one bill into law this summer, vetoing legislation that would have imposed tougher penalties for people who fire celebratory gunshots. Back in 2011, bullets fired on the Fourth of July, fell killing 11-year-old Blair Shanahan Lane. Since then, Blair's mom, Michele Shanahan DeMoss, has been coming to Jefferson City to ask lawmakers to strengthen the state's law. Earlier this month, the governor rejected legislation that included a measure honoring the Kansas City girl. Parson tells our Missouri Chief Capitol Bureau Reporter Emily Manley it's not Blair's Law, he didn't agree with. Major Case Squad activated in Berkeley after overnight murder ST. LOUIS - A man was murdered overnight in a Berkeley strip mall parking lot. Tuesday morning, the Major Case Squad has been called in on the case.The head of the Major Case Squad for this investigation told FOX 2 earlier that the victim who was shot and killed was an adult male. At this point, the name and age of the victim haven’t yet been released. The police later found the baby alone and crying, along with a crime scene that contained Heather's blood.  A neighbor reported a man leaving the apartment around 2:00 a.m. that morning with a child around Heather's age wraped in a blanket. A comforter was also missing from the apartment. Kullorn has been missing for 24 years.  Kullorn's body has never been found. Portion of Santa Monica bluffs appear in danger of falling onto PCH Santa Monica officials are preparing to have a crumbling portion of the bluffs above Pacific Coast Highway removed.The crack in the cliff was noticed by passersby, including Suzzane Yankovic, wife of musician "Weird Al" Yankovic.A portion of the Santa Monica bluffs that appears to be in danger of collapsing is seen on July 25, 2023. Pittsburg man killed when his RV crashes into Delta ditch A Pittsburg man was killed Monday when his recreational vehicle went into a ditch near Isleton, the California Highway Patrol said.The crash was reported at 8:15 a.m. on westbound Highway 12 at Jackson Slough Road.
