Worcester police investigate suspicious death at massage business

An investigation got underway in Worcester Thursday after what appeared to be a suspicious death at a massage business on Pleasant Street, police said. Officers could be seen blocking the entrance to Angies Bodywork Spa at 383 Pleasant Street early Thursday afternoon. In a later update, the Worcester Police Department said officers first responded around 11:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a female “experiencing a possible medical issue.”Police said a male individual soon flagged down arriving officers and brought them to an unconscious female. Officers rendered medical aid, according to police, until the unconscious female was pronounced dead.“The death appears to be suspicious,” police said.Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.Police remained on scene around 6 p.m., with Angies Bodywork Spa still taped off. CHICAGO — A church on the City's South Side opened their doors to dozens of migrants in need of a hot meal for Thanksgiving Thursday.With the food ready and the table set, New Beginnings Church in the Woodlawn Neighborhood welcomed about 50 migrants for their first American Thanksgiving.“We want them to be treated the same way we would treat our family," said Alex Pearson, head of security for New Beginnings Church. Urban explorers found the remains of a person in a cave in downtown St. Paul this week, fire officials said.About 6 p.m. Wednesday night, firefighters responded to a 911 call from urban explorers near Eagle Parkway and Exchange Street, just below Kellogg Boulevard and the RiverCentre. The explorers had found the remains of a person in a confined space, according to the St. Paul Fire Department.The department’s Advanced Technical Rescue Team recovered the body from the space by securing it and hoisting it out, officials said. Crews were on scene for more than two and a half hours. The Ramsey County medical examiner then took the remains of the unidentified individual from the scene.Police responded with the fire department and they are investigating the circumstances of the death. They’ll work with the medical examiner’s office to identify the person and their cause and manner of death, said Sgt. Three people, including an infant, were all taken to the hospital in critical condition Thursday after a driver crashed into them near a bus stop in the Manchester Square neighborhood of Los Angeles. One of those people has since died, officials said.The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on the 1700 block of W. 83rd Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.A man and woman were among those injured in the crash, in addition to the infant. D.C. police have released the name of the person killed after allegedly fleeing U.S. Park Police officers Wednesday, sparking a deadly exchange of gunfire.Turell Delonte Campbell, a 30-year-old Northeast D.C. resident, was pronounced dead at a local hospital Wednesday after a shooting in the 1100 block of M Street Northwest, police said in a news release.Campbell encountered Park Police in the area of 12th Street and Massachusetts Avenue Northwest at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a statement from Park Police spokesperson Sgt.
